Instructions to make Jake's Roe fries (fish eggs):
  1. Mix the Roe with kashmiri chilly powder , turmeric powder, salt and garam masala (dont add pepper) and let it stay for 5 min
  2. Heat oil in a frying pan and add curry leaves. Then add roe and fry on low flame for 15 min. Then add pepper powder. Stir occassionally and fry both sides till its crunchy
  3. Towards the end garnish with cillantro or mint leaves (optional) and serve
  4. Warning : use low flame for safety..
  5. Can be had as snacks or with rice.. Taste excellent!

Fish Roe Fry is a favorite in our house. Whenever I get good fish roe (Fish Eggs), I usually prepare it in this way. Both female fish roe (Hard Roe) and male fish roe (Soft Roe), may be used.
