- Cut the steak into 2 cm pieces,heat half the butter and half of the oil in pan .Brown off the meat,remive from pan
- Add chopped onions .the garlic and the orange rind cook until onion is soft. Stir in the all other ingredients except extra spoon olive oil and baby onions.Simmer ,covered for an hour.
- In the meantime heat the extra spoonful of oil, add peeled baby onions in a pan.cool until well browned all over. Add onions to steak mixture, simmer covered for 20 minutes until steak and onions well tender.Remove lid and simmer for another 10-15 minutes until thickened slightly. Romove the orange rind before serving .
- Serve over rice or with new potatoes.
